Equipment and Uniforms The following outlines the equipment and uniform requirements for CYLAX. Equipment: All players are required to have a lacrosse stick, lacrosse helmet (hockey helmets are not recommended), shoulder and rib pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves and mouthguards. New lacrosse equipment can be purchased at Competitive Edge (Wayne), Wayne Sporting Goods (Wayne), Kelly Sports (West Chester), or at most sporting goods stores. Jersey:
U15 and U13: All U15 and U13 teams are travel teams. The Chester County Lacrosse Association requires Conestoga Youth Lacrosse to provide maroon colored jerseys to its U15 and U13 players. Coaches will provide league approved jerseys and shorts during the first or second week of practice. U11 and U9: The U11 and U9 teams play in an internal 'house' league. For 2009, reversible pinnies will be provided to the players by CYLAX. Shorts:
For the 2009 season, U15 and U13 players will be provided with shorts as part of their uniform. Additional shorts purchases will be accommodated at our Photo Day sale or by request. There are no restrictions on U11 and U9 shorts; however, CYLAX recommends solid BLACK or the league approved shorts which will be available for purchase at our Photo Day sale or by request. Helmet:
Any color of helmet is acceptable; however, if your child is going to play for the Conestoga program on an extended basis, you may be better off purchasing a black helmet. For those interested, helmet labels showcasing the maroon Conestoga 'C' can be purchased during registration. |
